The summer fishing has drawn to a close. Bottom fishing has slowed to a near
halt. Last weeks storm dropped the water temp to below 65 degrees and the
blues have almost disappeared. But on the bright side the medium and large
sized stripers have begun to show up in good numbers in selected areas. We
are trolling and in some cases the fish are schooled up to where you can jig
them. As the weeks pass the bigger fish will increase in numbers. There is
plenty of bunker in the bay to hold these fish so it should be a good fall
season. If you can't make a November trip come see me in Virginia Beach for
the ocean striper fishing during December, January, and February.
